NSW Sapphire Coast.

Greg and Sue have been farming on the lake for 25 years, fulfilling their love for being outdoors and working with a natural, native product. Protecting the marine environment around them is at the core of everything they do on their farm. Their award-winning oysters and livelihoods depend on healthy waterways. Dedication towards their farming process delivers you a unique tide-to-table flavour sensation, fresh from the waters of Pambula Lake.

Broadwater Oysters are special

Broadwater Oysters is owned and operated by Greg Carton and Sue McIntyre. "We have been farming Sydney Rock oysters (Saccostrea glomerata) in Pambula Lake for 25 years, supplying opened, unopened and bottled oysters to the general public and restaurants.

Greg Carton and Sue McIntyre began farming Sydney Rock oysters in Pambula Lake.
2011
Broadwater Oyster’s delicious Sydney Rock Oysters bring home the GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE medals at Sydney Royal Show and Royal Hobart Show.
2018
Landcare named them ‘Champions of the Catchment' and they, as part of the South Coast Oyster Industry, have also won two NSW Coastal Conference Awards and the NSW Government GREEN GLOBE Award.

Broadwater Oysters are recognised as leaders in the Oyster Industry by their peers. Sue recently received an Outstanding Service Award for services to the NSW Oyster Industry from Department of Primary Industries – Fisheries NSW.

We are already quite big fans of eating them, but they taste so much better when they're freshly caught and you shuck them yourself. Mel was a great teacher, and they had some fantastic sauces and accompaniments for those who are a bit nervous about the taste.

Best and freshest oysters in Merimbula/Eden

Nice helpfull staff. Bought 4 dozen in their shells to bring back to Melbourne. Actually also interesting to visit when they are working as the shop is right by the machine that sorts them. You can buy ready to eat and sit on some local pinic area seats by the fishing club and have a feed. They also post them to you and you can order on line.
